Real Wedding: A Pink and Grey Soiree with a Fantastic Selection of Sweet Treats
They decorated their reception with a stunning selection of pink and pastel flowers, with the floral displays taking centre stage, sitting atop vintage style furniture.
The sweet treats were a talking point too, from the intricately decorated wedding cake, to the delicious fondue to the super sweet pink cake pops - everything was carefully considered, creating a perfectly pretty theme.

Katie and Adam's proposal took place in Paris - how romantic!

Adam whisked Katie away to the french capital on a surprise trip, and proposed during a private meal on the Eiffel Tower, with a ring he had designed himself.

He had a photographer waiting in the wings to capture the big moment, and as the sun set over the gorgeous city, he popped the question.
Adam and Katie held their wedding ceremony at St. Botolph's Church in Barton Seagrave, Kettering.

"My family has had a connection with the village for over 100 years, so it was easy for the church to accommodate our wishes," says Katie.

Their reception followed nearby, at The Orangery at Barton Hall. Guests need only walk around the village green to reach the second part of the day.

READ MORE: Wedding Dresses for a Church Wedding
The reception style
When it came to their reception style, Adam and Katie chose to go for a theme of vintage elegance with a modern twist.

They went for a pastel colour scheme, with soft pink and grey as the main shades.

"Our tables were heavily decorated with flowers," says Katie. "We also had hessian and lace jam jars on each table."
The floral displays
The flowers were created by a family friend and absolutely stole the show; the displays comprised of a range of Gypsophila, Lisianthus, Waxed Flower and Astilbe in drawers, jars, tea pots, vases, bird cages, medicine bottles, vintage cups, watering cans and jugs, all coming together to create a beautifully rustic aesthetic.

Read more: 9 Rules to Follow When Meeting Your Florist
Katie and Adam dotted shabby chic and vintage cabinets, soft furnishings and antique details all around their venue - we adore the mismatched look!
Katie and Adam's pink and grey colour scheme was even reflected in their refreshments; check out the pretty pink and white marshmallows they provided, so guests could indulge in fondue.

READ MORE: Best Ways to Display your Wedding Sweets and Edibles
Wedding day cake pops
The sweet treats didn't stop there, though!

Katie and Adam provided beautiful silver and pink cake pops, sitting atop a traditional cake stand, proving that cake stands aren't just for cakes!

They also filled a glass jar to the brim with pink Millions sweets - we wonder how long they lasted!

READ MORE: Wedding Style: Pink and Silver
The wedding cake
The wedding cake was certainly something to behold, too.

It tied in with the rustic feel of the day thanks to it's unusual cake stand.

"The cake was designed by us and consisted of three tiers which were chocolate and vanilla based," says Adam.

"It was mint green and soft grey with handcrafted fondant lace detailing and edible curl beading with pastel pink decorated rose icing," adds Katie.

The couple also had 50 individual cupcakes, all decorated individually with a mixture of vintage style details such as fondant pearls, delicate small flowers and fondant brooches, encased with white doily / filigree cases and placed in vintage tea-cups.
Shabby chic details
How gorgeous is the tea-cup detailing?!

It looks picture perfect on top of the shabby chic vintage style table - we want to steal this idea for our own wedding!

READ MORE: Country Rustic Wedding Theme Ideas
Other personal details included fun personalised fortune telling games (pictured), personalised confetti, words of wisdom cards for all of the guests to fill out - all reflecting Katie and Adam's easy-going and relaxed nature.
The fishtail wedding dress
Last but not least, let's talk about Katie's gorgeous fishtail wedding dress.

Katie purchased the her gown at Lola Bridal in Northampton, falling for it thanks to the lace finish and fishtail design.

Her bridesmaids wore mismatched bridesmaid dresses in pale grey and pastel pink, to match the wedding day theme and tie the whole day together beautifully.
