Would you do a pre-wedding shoot?

Would you let your fiancé see your wedding dress BEFORE the wedding?

Most brides would weep at the idea of the groom seeing their wedding dress before the big day.

However a new trend sees couples don their wedding attire and pose for pictures in glamourous locations BEFORE their wedding.

In fact, they go as far as flying to a different country for photos that will wow their guests, according to London-based photographer Janis Ratnieks, who says the trend is particularly popular with Asian couples.

He has had clients fly from as far as Indonesia, Japan and Singapore for shoots in Paris and London, in front of iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the Ritz.

Now we know what you're thinking, it spoils the surprise, right? Well some brides actually buy a second wedding dress just for the pictures, phew!

We suppose at least you don't have to worry about getting too many pics on the big day!

I personally wouldn’t. As you said, it’s great for couples with bigger budgets, but I‘d rather spend my money on other things. Obviously the photoshoot wouldn’t be on the day of the wedding so you‘d also have to pay for hair and makeup on top of additional photography. Plus, if it’s before the wedding, your groom would see the dress before the day and the dress itself would probably need a dry clean (depending where the shoot was), which is yet another cost.

The fact that the groom would see my dress before the moment I walked down the isle would mean I wouldn’t have one, even if money wasn’t an object.

This is getting popular and I myself did exactly this in Alicante last year. They just loved the thought of beautiful wedding photos by the beach in stead of in a field at their wedding venue. I think it is a great idea if budgets can stretch to this. This is just one of the images from last years Alicante trip, I must remember to update the blog on this. https://www.johnpricephotography.co.uk/nottingham-weddings/alicante-beech-wedding-photo Regards John www.johnpricephotography.co.uk
