I'm ordering my hoop next month. I have an A line gown with a lot of layers but to stop it getting caught on my shoes I'm having a hoop to make it stick out a little more.

I have an a line dress with a full skirt and when I saw my seamstress last week she said I should get a single hoop underskirt so it doesn't get tangled in my legs and so I don't have to kick it each time I step. I've ordered one from Amazon for like £11. It won't give the skirt more volume just keep it off my legs x

Like the others - the ladies at my dress shop said I should have a small one for my A-line / princess dress to keep the skirt from tripping me up (I won't be poofing the skirt out at all though).

Just wanted to update you All, I saw my seamstress last night now I have the hoop and oh my gosh it made such a difference it was amazing. Hoop made my dress even more swishy and so much more comfortable and cooler! It didnt poof it out at all either, the skirt in the link I posted is just the right size to keep it off your legs but not add volume.

Highly recommend a hoop underskirt if you have an a line dress x
